On May 9, Ms. Patrice Simmons, the daughter of Priscilla Simmons and Perry Herron, graduated from the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at Northwest Mississippi Community College.
Just weeks later, on May 30, she successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and is now a licensed registered nurse.
This fall, she will continue her education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), with the longterm goal of earning a Doctorate in Nursing.
Her mission is to be a role model for her children and to serve her community through compassionate, expert care.
“My goal is not just to become a nurse, but to be a source of hope, healing and leadership,” she said. “I want my children to know that dreams are worth chasing — and that with faith and determination, anything is possible.”
