Sisters Book Club held our April meeting at Brianna’s in Charleston, for a delicious lunch and wonderful conversation.
This is a true story about two families, generations apart, that were forever changed by a notorious real-life scandal in Memphis, Tennessee, by an adoption organization where babies were kidnapped and sold to wealthy families in the United States.
This book is “Before We Were Yours,” by Lisa Wingate, a page-turner with suspense, heart, heartbreaking — an uplifting story that tells us that even though the paths we take can lead to many places but never forget where we belong. It’s an inspirational read.
