MDAH sites and offices to close until further notice

JACKSON — Based on information provided by the Mississippi State Department of Health about the coronavirus epidemic, the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) will close all sites and offices beginning Friday, March 13.

Library system welcomes new, familiar director

The Tallahatchie Library System and Board of Trustees have named Angela Etheridge as new library director.

Etheridge holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Delta State University.

CHS student nominated for Boston awards ceremony

Miss Sha’Kerra D’Asia Jennings, the daughter of Michael and Angie Jennings and a junior at Charleston High School, has been nominated by instructors to be a part of The Congress of Future Medical Leaders’ Awards Ceremony.

The ceremony is scheduled to be held June 24-25 in Boston, Massachusetts.
