The Charleston High School Class of 1984 celebrated their 42nd class reunion July 31 and Aug. 1 with the theme, “Taking It Back Where It Started.”
What made this reunion especially meaningful was the opportunity to return to the place where so many wonderful memories began — our high school.
Members of the Class of 1984 enjoyed a special evening walking through the halls, visiting classrooms, reminiscing about our school days, and taking a trip down memory lane. Being back in the school brought back so many cherished memories and reminded us of the friendships, experiences, teachers and lessons that helped shape who we are today.
As part of our reunion celebration, the Class of 1984 was honored to present CHS Assistant Principal Christopher Suggs with a $500 donation to Charleston High School’s General Activity Fund. We are proud to give back to the school that played such an important role in our lives and hope our contribution will help support today’s students.
We would also like to challenge other Charleston High School classes to give back to our school. Every contribution, large or small, can make a difference in helping provide our students with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Our children are our future, and investing in them is an investment in the future of our community.
A very special thank-you goes to everyone who played a part in granting us access to Charleston High School that Friday evening. Your kindness and willingness to welcome us back made our 42nd reunion even more special.
The Class of 1984 will forever cherish the memories we made at Charleston High School. Being able to return to where it all started was truly a blessing, and we are grateful for the opportunity to once again walk those familiar hallways and celebrate the memories that will always be a part of us.
