I hope all you sweet Valentines received some kind of token of love! If it was candy, flowers or a good deed, be thankful that you have someone who cares.
Delta State University has accepted Sam Pullen into their college and they also accepted him into their BSN program in the fall. Congratulations, Sam. Sam is married to Anna Jackson Pullen and they have a daughter, Joanna.
Another Tillatobian, Emily Rutherford Little, got her degree in mammography. Emily says she finally gets to add that “M” behind her name, as she passed the mammo registry. Emily said, “I am so thankful to do something I love and remember why and who I do it for.” Congratulations, Emily. It couldn’t have happened to a sweeter young lady. Emily is married to Tim Little and they have a daughter, Scottie.
Tommy and Deborah McCool visited their son, Christopher, and family at Senatobia after church Sunday. Christopher got his wife, Samantha, a brand new Jeep Cherokee. Nice Valentine gift! We had a good visit and watched a basketball game with them. Deborah said the only time she likes sports is when we go there because our grandsons love sports, make it interesting to watch and they explain when she doesn’t know what is happening.
Martha Box had a hard week but enjoyed great music and singing at the Square Market last Tuesday night. That’s always a fun time. Martha said daughter Candy Box worked nurse Momma’s legs off from Wednesday morning to Thursday night. She was very weak and sick due to low blood and iron levels. Great NP Garrett sent her to Oxford ER. The staff and doctors there jumped right in, and after two units of blood and one of iron, Candy came around.
Martha said God’s love and blessings were and are everywhere. She enjoyed a lovely time with friends Saturday evening and had “lots of laughter that we all needed.”
She made it to Pine Grove Baptist Church Sunday morning and had a great visit with old friends. Her grandson, Josh Harrison, picked and sang an uplifting song. Visiting pastor Judge Vance lifted her heart and mind with a great message about how Jesus preforms miracles.
Ginger Harrison said she missed Josh, her son, singing in church Sunday due to sinus problems. Phil, her husband, took a video and Josh really did great! Very proud of him! Ginger sent me the video and he did awesome. Thanks, Ginger.
Faye Hartley had a busy day Saturday ball gaming with her grandson, Rowland. He played ball all day Saturday. She said Saturday night they were all tired and wet and ready to get home.
Donna Garripoli came Sunday afternoon, visited with me a couple of hours and brought me some hearts for Valentines! Thank you, sweet girl!
JR Dukes spent a couple of days fishing at the lake at Guntersville, Alabama, feeling it out before the Toyota Series starts. I think he kinda likes it there.
