The Tallahatchie County Election Commission will conduct the primary election for the Republican Party on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
For anyone who has been asked to serve as an election worker, there is state-mandated training.
There will be two local sessions, both of which are identical.
The first will be Monday, July 24, starting at 6 p.m., at the Tallahatchie County Courthouse in Charleston.
The second training session will be conducted on Wednesday, July 26, starting at 6 p.m., at the Tallahatchie County Courthouse in Sumner.
Again, the state requires this training for election workers.
