The old WIC warehouse, located on South Court Street on the square in Sumner, is the new voting location for the Sumner District 2 precinct, Tallahatchie County Election Commissioner Yolanda Cotton has announced.
Voters will begin utilizing the new polling place during the March 12 presidential primary election, she added.
Cotton said the precinct was moved from the Emmett Till Interpretive Center because of that facility’s new working association with the National Park Service via the Tallahatchie County Courthouse's new designation as part of the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument.
