The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of East Arkansas, North Mississippi and West Tennessee. The advisory does include Tallahatchie County.
In Mississippi, the advisory includes Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, DeSoto, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica and Yalobusha counties.
Tuesday night, there is a chance of rain before midnight, then rain, snow and sleet between midnight and 3 a.m., followed by snow, freezing rain and sleet after 3 a.m. The low will be around 26, and a north-northeast wind will blow from 5-10 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%.
NWS says snow and sleet accumulation of up to 1 inch is possible, along with ice accumulations around a light glaze.
However, motorists are advised to plan on slippery road conditions.
The high Wednesday, under partly sunny skies, is forecast at 33, with a north wind around 10 mph and guests as high as 25 mph.
What falls late Tuesday night and early Wednesday, even if it melts partly, will freeze again Wednesday night. A low around 15 is forecast for Wednesday night, with a north wind of about 10 mph dropping the wind chill factor dropping into the low single digits.

Saturday night: A 20% chance of rain. Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52.
