A surprise golden wedding anniversary celebration was held Saturday, June 13, for Rev. Joe and Joanne Adams Young at The Oaks at Sherin Farms in the Teasdale community.
Numerous family and friends attended the event, which was hosted by the couple’s children. In addition to beautiful decorations, hors d’oeuvres and a delicious two-tier cake, on display was the cake topper from the couple’s wedding 50 years ago.
They were married June 11, 1976, at Charleston First Methodist Church. The couple share three children, Jody, Joey and Joel; four grandchildren, Celeste, Keegan, Jaycee and Noah; and a great-granddaughter, Rosie. Joe and Joanne’s twin infant sons, Jonathan and Adam, were called to Heaven. (Photos special to The Sun-Sentinel)
