The power behind the resurrection lives inside all true believers in Christ
By Austin Bishop
7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Walterine Odom in her letter to the editor (NSS 4/10/26) shows that she has an extreme case of TDS. She starts off her attack on my submission by facing the transgender issue. She says that there are only a "handful (literally!)" of transgenders in the 350 million Americans, implying that it is a negligible problem. Murderers account for a very, very small fraction of the population, but should we neglect them? Transgender males, having superior strength, have caused injuries and often dominated female sports. That is the reason why the Olympic committee has banned them.

Some people take as an article of faith that “free markets” are a magic elixir that make society prosperous and fair. Certainly, economies based on principles of capitalism and allowing markets freely to direct choice making have generally outperformed economies based upon other principles.

Seeds of Delight
When are seeds of delight sewn?
Why could a mother hear her not-yet-speaking-the-king’s-English child babbling in the other room and recognize the rhythm of the poems she had read to her earlier?
Why does a little child look at a pansy flower and see a friendly face and proceed to have a conversation with it?
What is the source of a fascination with mathematics or mechanics or music or photography or words?

Picking a partner
This space is usually reserved for grievances. There’s always something deserving of a good, old-fashioned rant. But not today.
Today, the subject is something far less common and far more important: getting one thing in life absolutely right.

Inflation, inflation everywhere, but no relief in sight. At least it seems that way.
The CPI spiked in March with prices rising the fastest since May 2024. The annual 3.3% rate was almost one point higher than the 2.4% reported for February. Particularly driving the increase was a 10.9% surge in energy costs resulting from the war in Iran, reported CNBC.

Greenwood Leflore Hospital says it could close in two months even while it continues to negotiate a deal for another health-care system to take over the financially teetering hospital, which is also considering bankruptcy.

Vandals damaged several grave sites at the Liberty Chapel Cemetery in recent days. The historic cemetery dates from the 18th century and is located on Rock Port Road in the Liberty Chapel Community.
The offenders overturned grave monuments and dug holes under or around the monuments. They appeared to target older graves and possibly used metal detectors in search of treasure or artifacts.

Below is a religion column by Matt Friedeman:
We would be wise to consider John the Baptist’s words in John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Less of ourselves and more Jesus – the key to truly abundant life.
In February of 2023 a revival broke out on the campus of Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. It was preceded by lots of prayer and the quiet desperation of spiritual need; it was followed by a wave of national exposure and media commentary.

Robert St. John says he’s spent a lot of money over the years trying to become a better businessman and a better leader. None of it came close to what his grandmother did.
Before the restaurants, before the trips, before any of it — there was my grandmother’s table.
