MSU hosting fall graduation ceremonies this week
STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State is celebrating fall commencement this week with ceremonies in Starkville and Meridian.
The Starkville campus will host two ceremonies on Friday [Dec. 12]—9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.—in Humphrey Coliseum, while MSU-Meridian graduates will receive their degrees Thursday [Dec. 11] at 11 a.m. in the MSU Riley Center.
MSU President Mark E. Keenum is the university’s featured commencement speaker for the events.

MERIDIAN REGIONAL AIRPORT TO HOST TSA PRECHECK® ENROLLMENT EVENT
Meridian, Miss (December 9, 2025) – Meridian Regional Airport will be hosting a TSA PreCheck®
enrollment event in collaboration with IDEMIA, an authorized TSA PreCheck enrollment provider since
2013. Travelers will be able to enroll or renew their membership at 2811 Hwy 11 South, Meridian, MS
39307 from December 9 – 12, 2025 from 9am – 5pm, with a lunch break from 12 – 1pm. The TSA
PreCheck Application Program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents.

MSDH Weekly Respiratory Surveillance: Flu Cases Stable
Jackson, Miss.- The Mississippi State Department of Health’s (MSDH) Respiratory Surveillance Report, which tracks weekly respiratory illnesses to identify statewide trends, saw a steady number of influenza-like illness (ILI) cases for the most recent week available.
For the week ending November 29, the overall state ILI rate (2.7 percent) remained constant from the previous week (2.6 percent) and was lower than this time last year (4.3 percent).
