Linda Kay (Bratton) Prince passed away peacefully on September 10th. 2025, in Lubbock Texas, with her family by her side. Linda lived a beautiful and full life. She was kind, fun loving and encompassed style and class.

Joseph “Jody” Avant Wilkin, Jr. 83, of Dumas, AR passed away January 3, 2025, in White Hall, AR. He was born September 13, 1942, in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Joe A. and Kristine Puddephatt Wilkin, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Joseph A. Wilkin, III and one, half-sister Jo Ann Ringer.
Jody was a member of Watson Methodist Church, and was Coroner of Desha County for 15 years, a commercial fisherman and a member of Wilkin Hunting Club on Big Island. Jody loved to fish and hunt whenever he possibly could.

Martin David Mallory, age 62, of Bryant, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026. He was born January 25, 1964 in Santa Rosa, California. Martin served in the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, and the Coast Guard. He was an Inspector Mechanic and a member of First Baptist Church of Bryant.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eleanor Smart, Don Sr. & Betty Mallory, and Alice Paladanity; biological father, David Ortiz and a brother, Gabriel Ortiz.

Hyder L. Johnson, 89, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. '
Born August 28, 1936, in Tillar, he lived a life deeply rooted in faith and service. He was a devoted member of Loggy Bayou M.B. Church and later New St. Hurricane Baptist Church. Hyder graduated from Wolf Project High School, earned degrees from A.M.&N. College (UAPB) and Texas Southern University, and honorably served in the U.S. Army as a bacteriologist.

Laura Love Goodson Leek 1961-2026
, Dumas High School students and staff colored a butterfly tribute in honor of the memory of Mrs. Laura Leek, a beloved memory of the school community. Participants were invited to color butterflies and write personal notes or cherished memories on the back. The butterflies have been displayed in the hallway as a visual memorial. The butterflies will be presented to the family later
The tribute represents the lasting impact Mrs. Leek had on our students and staff. The butterflies symbolize transformation, hope and the way she influence continues to guide and inspire us.
Laura Love Goodson Leek, 64, of McGehee, AR, passed away on February 10, 2026. She was born on September 19, 1961 to the late Larry and Betty Love.
Laura’s students at DHS were one of our most prized gifts in life. She cared for them and loved them as if they were her own children. She saw her position as a teacher as an opportunity to change a young person’s life and make them feel loved. Every student that she crossed paths with truly made every single day fulfilled.

Ronnie Joe Mizell, 80 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away February 4, 2026. Born October 13, 1945, in Cardon Bottoms, Arkansas and was the son of the late Elton Eugene Mizell and Dona Rose Cates Mizell. His parents, wife Kay, daughter and son in law Jamie and Robert Carter, five brothers and two sisters, twin great grandchildren Ian and Ili Delacruz all preceded him in death.
Ronnie was Baptist by faith; he had been an auto mechanic and retired as a millwright at Potlatch paper mill for seventeen years.
