Ethel May Day Festival May 2
The town of Ethel will host its annual May Day Festival on Saturday, May 2, with a full day of activities planned along Main Street.

Kosciusko School Board addresses lease issues, approves fundraiser

The meeting opened with a call to order, invocation and a reading of the district’s mission statement, which emphasizes empowering students to achieve success in education, careers and personal growth. The board then approved the meeting agenda.

Fatal crash claims life of Ethel man

A two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on April 14 on Highway 12 resulted in one fatality and left another driver seriously injured, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on April 14 near Smith Road. Authorities said a 2016 Ram 1500, driven by 29-year-old Octavious Evans of Gulfport, was traveling west when it collided with a 2015 Nissan Altima traveling east.
