Due to another expected day of brutally steaming, hot temperatures underway, the National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Heat Advisory in effect for 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday for Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, Monroe, Quitman, Tallahatchie and Yalobusha counties.
The air temperature is forecast to be 93 degrees, with a heat index as high as 107.
Heat index values up to 107 expected.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
