Special to The Sun-Sentinel
On Saturday, June 7, community partners and families came together to make this year’s Tallahatchie County Back to School Expo another success.
Across both sides of the county, nearly 400 families joined the event to gear up and receive free items for the upcoming school year, including:
• School uniforms
• Backpacks, school supplies, books, child ID cards and more
• Diapers, feminine and incontinence product packs, deodorant, mouthwash
The Tallahatchie Early Learning Alliance appreciates the generous participation from community partners and donors, who helped TELA purchase school uniforms and backpacks for Tallahatchie County students from pre-K through 12th grade.
