Warm and pleasant greetings to all. We hope you are enjoying a good week.
All last week kept us weather watching as we listened to weather indicating storms and tornado watches and warnings. Hopefully, all felt comfortable when you prepared a place to settle down in case the weather condition worsened. All families and individuals should have a plan in place in case you need to make the move for your safety. Storms are inevitable, certain to come.
We sometimes have storms in our lives and we can look to the Lord and seek His purpose in our challenge. This was on time for the daily devotional I read Sunday: “When Storm Comes.” Storms can arise even when we are exactly where God wants us to be. Read John 16:33.
Now, around the house, what are some of your shopping intakes?
How loyal are you to any store brand items, foods, household or any product?
Foods, yes, you must be able to eat and enjoy. Consider how the food will be used in the recipe.
Perhaps you are familiar with some store brand products that work just as well or better than the familiar brand name products. Store brands are private label products sold under a retailer’s name.
Brand names are products sold under a manufacturer’s name. Store brands typically are less expensive, but the quality and ingredients are comparable to brand names. I think it’s worth a try. You may like the product as well or better. I have tried a few recommendations and liked the products. Store brands offer quality ingredients and healthier options, too. There are so many brands to choose from, but take a try and see if you like it. You may save up to 50% on some items.
Check prices and always check the product’s nutrition facts label. Example: some soup brands have less sodium than brand names.
The product label may be attractive, but the content may be different. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, which means the largest amount is listed first and down to the smaller amount.
Paper products and household products are another story. I bet you have your favorite brand of those, too.
I don’t know if anything is cheap anymore, so we don’t use the word as often. I have always used the term less or more expensive. It makes you feel better after a purchase!
Enjoy life today. Be blessed.
