Excited is an understatement! Look what is coming to CARE. It is hands-on innovation and we know that young students are going to love this. Grenada’s FABLab will be here July 14-18, from 1-3 p.m. each day.
Get ready to create, code, explore and race! The Mobile FABLab is bringing a world of high-tech STEM experiences to CARE and students of all ages are invited to dive in. Each activity center is packed with opportunities to discover new skills, build amazing creations and have a blast!
VEX GO Robotics: Students team up to build and program VEX GO robots, learning the basics of engineering, logic, and problem-solving. Whether you’re a first-time coder or a budding tech wizard, this center sparks creativity and collaboration with hands-on challenges and mini-competitions.
Space Exploration Lab: Step into the future! With zSpace, students explore immersive simulations — from dissecting virtual frogs to navigating outer space. This cutting-edge augmented/virtual reality station makes science, math, and engineering feel like a video game you can learn from.
Chomp- Shop Design & Prototype: Sketch it. Build it. Test it. At ChompShop, students become inventors — dreaming up original designs and turning them into real-life prototypes using simple materials.
Roller Coaster Race Car Mania: Speed meets science! Students will design, build and test their own miniature roller coasters and race cars — learning about force, motion and friction.
Designs Inspired by Nature: Nature is the ultimate designer, and this station proves it! Students will explore how animals, plants and ecosystems inspire human inventions and use those ideas to create their own designs.
Micro:bit Adventures: Explore the world of computing with Rosie’s Runtime (unplugged) and Micro:bits (simple coding). Innovators and Makers will be introduced to Micro:bit devices used to code lights, sensors, and interactive systems that solve real-world problems.
3D Printer Live Demo: Watch It Happen: See your ideas take shape — layer by layer! Watch a 3D printer in action as it transforms digital designs into physical objects. Learn how rapid prototyping is shaping the future of design and manufacturing.
Powered by the Global FABLab Movement: The Grenada Mobile FABLab is part of the worldwide FABLab Network, empowering students to explore science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEM) through open-ended, real-world problem solving.
