Charleston Athletics experienced another productive week of competition.
On Monday, eight Charleston student-athletes competed in the cross-country meet at Pillow Academy in Greenwood. Official results from the meet are still pending.
On Tuesday, the Charleston junior high football team traveled to North Panola to take on the Cougars. Our young men played an outstanding game, competing hard and working together as a team. Their effort paid off as they earned an impressive road victory over North Panola.
On Wednesday, the Charleston Lady Tigers hosted the Leland Cubs in an important division volleyball matchup. The Lady Tigers delivered a strong performance and defeated Leland in four sets to secure another division victory.
On Friday, the Charleston Tigers traveled to DeSoto County to face a talented DeSoto Central High School football team. Although the Tigers did not come away with the victory, our young men competed hard and represented Charleston with pride. We are proud of the effort they gave, the preparation and film study they put in, and the work of the coaching staff throughout the week.
Overall, it was another positive week for Charleston Athletics. Our student-athletes continued to compete, improve, and represent our community well.
We look forward to another week filled with opportunities to grow, compete and get better.
Go Tigers!
