Charleston powerlifting teams place second, third at regional meet

Charleston High School powerlifting squads competed Jan. 25 in the Region 1-2A meet at East Union High School.

The CHS boys' team performed well enough to finish in second place for total points earned at the meet, while the Lady Tigers placed third among the girls' teams, according to coach LaDon Taylor.

Class 2A boys' teams are scheduled to compete Saturday, Feb. 22, in the North State meet at East Union.

Class 2A lady lifters are slated to gather for their North State meet at the same venue, but on Saturday, March 1.
