Charleston High School senior running back Marcus “Deuce” Flowers Jr. has been selected to play in the 2025 Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Football Game in Gulfport.
Flowers, 5-7, 170 pounds, is one of 45 players, and one of five running backs, on the North Mississippi roster.
In four games this season, Flowers has rushed for 515 yards and five touchdowns. He has caught passes for 188 yards and three TDs and has also been a playmaker in the defensive backfield.
Flowers becomes the first Charleston player named to the Bernard Blackwell classic since defensive lineman Montra Sanford in 2023. Rosters of previous Bernard Blackwell selections are available in the archives here.
So far during his playing career at CHS, Flowers has rushed for 5,131 yards and 73 touchdowns.
This year's Bernard Blackwell game is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, at Milner Stadium on the campus of Gulfport High School.
Admission is $10, and tickets will be available online through GoFan as well as at the gate.
All players selected for the Bernard Blackwell game are seniors graduating with their regular class and in good standing with the Mississippi High School Activities Association, the Mississippi Association of Coaches, their local school and coaches.
