Five members of the Charleston High School girls' powerlifting team have earned the right to compete in the state meet March 27 at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.
Qualifying, according to East Tallahatchie School District Athletic Director LaDon Taylor, were:
> Tykeria Davis, 1st place, 165-pound weight class
> Alayshia Autman, 3rd place, 220-pound weight class
> Moesha Chambers, 3rd place, 242-pound weight class
> Breanna Turner, 3rd place, 148-pound weight class
> Henrinesha Williams, 3rd place, 181-pound weight class
The Lady Tigers qualified by virtue of a top-three finish at the north half powerlifting meet March 10 at East Union High School.
