Warm and pleasant greetings to all. We hope you enjoy a good week, despite any challenges faced during the week. Let’s enjoy the last days of daylight saving time, as the clock is set back one hour Saturday night. At 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, our part of the country will be back to central standard time.
It rained a few hours in our community Sunday morning. The roadway was better for traveling as the dust was no longer following. The road grader was operating on Monday, which means a couple of days will be better for driving. The rain was welcomed and refreshing to all.
If you have been out and about particularly near the delta fields, you have seen the popping white fields of cotton. The acres of cotton fields are dotted and grouped in cotton bundles wrapped in a variety of colors. Harvest is truly a fascinating time of the season.
Blue Cane Little Hubbard Community Center being a voting site, more traffic will be in and out of the community next Tuesday for voters participating in the Nov. 5 general election. Drive safely wherever you travel. Remember, the bridge is still closed on Milam Lane Road to Blue Cane Road.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month ends, but information is available anytime through the American Cancer Society. Tallahatchie County Chapter of ACS operates as “Rally for a Cure” and has information and other resources to help with patient support.
Hopefully, this awareness time involves your participation and support.
The information is to inspire and encourage individuals to realize the importance of maintaining good health and giving support to others who may need it.
Saturday’s event with the Tippo community’s third annual two-mile walk in awareness of breast cancer was highly engaged. It was such a pleasant and refreshing time for so many to join in for this event. Participation in the event has certainly increased. The emotions and support of both men and women cooperating showed how proud the community is to present and sponsor this annual activity.
It’s time to say Happy Halloween! Many parents and children love the hallowed celebration. Rightfully so, the many colors and designs with food, decorations, costumes and games make the cutest presentation.
You can dress anyway you like with pretensions and show off your talent. It’s fun and games time, a special time to enjoy moments of “carefreeness.” It’s an excuse to eat candy (extra candy). I don’t say whether Halloween is good or evil; that’s not the point. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t convict you in your endeavor, I say go ahead and boo!
Enjoy life today. Be blessed.
