Warm greetings to all. We hope you are having an inspiring week and things are in your favor.
We, (I) started in high gear, attending to what’s on the week’s agenda. Several mornings this week I’ve gotten a special text greeting that’s encouraging. That and my daily devotional both affirm that we are blessed.
We hope you are encouraged daily. Enjoy your Bible classes, Sunday school lessons, sermons, etc. This strengthens your faith.
We hope you are adjusting well to 2022.
We are almost at the end of January with the days swiftly going by. A few minutes last week I was caught singing a so-called Christmas song. It was only a moment that the sentiment struck. I’m OK. On the way to town, I discovered the (truck) jack was out of the box and had begun to rattle. The unmounted jack played “jingle bells” all the way to town.
The roadway is quite rough and whatever clinks keeps the beat until you hit the pavement. The roadway is still a major concern. Residents are hoping for good news from our supervisor.
The Tallahatchie County retired personnel met virtually last Tuesday in its regular monthly meeting. President Sevelda Taylor welcomed the group, along with the devotional. She proceeded with business and updated the members with relevant information. Members were thanked for their participation in working hard to keep the organization involved and recognized in other activities and events that were limited in participation.
We would be remiss not to mention our thoughts and prayers for the family of Ms. Melzina Jones.Ms. Melzina was affectionately known in and around the community, especially with the young people, in church, community activities and programs. Melzina was a loving person and friend to the Blue Cane- Little Hubbard community and organization. She was caring and compassionate about her community and others. She would attend, participate in and give support to whatever was planned. Our community sends our sincere condolences and loving thoughts and prayers to the Jones family, friends and church family.
Enjoy life today. Be blessed.
