Warm and pleasant greetings to all.
We hope you had a blessed Holy Week and a happy Easter Sunday.
Remember, all the incredible blessings we enjoy are because Jesus is risen!
Now it’s time for a renewed mind, body and spirit to go forth with work, play and service.
April is here, beginning the second quarter of the year. April begins with nice, warmer weather, the first full month of spring. Seemingly, the month is full of energy in the air, and even people are filled with more smiles and peppiness. This time of year brings new gardening, yard work, baseball games and other outdoor festivals and events.
Sure hope you enjoyed some time outdoors in the sunshine doing whatever. Too nice to be indoors!
April is a good traveling month, with nice weather and more daylight, for town festivals, flea markets, rummage sales and garage sales starting early. When traveling, remember that you have to share the roads with motorcycles. However, I think the month of May is when the bike clubs begin traveling.
Next Saturday, April 13, Rally for a Cure will be underway in Charleston at the former National Guard armory. This is the Tallahatchie County Unit of the American Cancer Society’s annual fundraiser day. Your support, donations and volunteerism are needed and appreciated. Research funded by ACS brings us closer to new treatments and cures. We all have a sense of caring, compassion and hope.
What a blessing when cancer comes to an end as we know it for everyone. All individuals and families are encouraged to come by during the hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other activities and entertainment throughout the day will be ongoing for your enjoyment.
Enjoy life today. Be blessed.
