We are closing out September and we have been able to have a few days outside. “Fresh air and sunshine is good medicine,” one resident remarked. We all agreed with that statement.
The smell of popcorn is back on Wednesday as the watermelon patch has dried up. The smell of fresh popcorn brought fall thoughts of fairs, ballgames and our time together.
We want to thank Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy for sharing a Christian message with us throughout September. Rev. Phillip Pharr filled our activity room with God’s word for all of us. We want to thank Danny Adams and Leonard Todd. They brought inspiring lessons that we all needed to hear as they led Sunday school.
The First Baptist Church hosted our Tuesday night bingo, and they brought great enthusiasm and laughter with them, not to mention delicious treats. We want to thank them for providing a night of fun for the ECF residents.
Lots of plans are in the works for fall activities. We hope that many will include community involvement. We want to see your smiles in our hallways, because we love company.
