Where there is a will, there is a way! This should be the slogan for our senior citizens at Extended Care Facility.
Lots of events and things can make you give up, but not our residents. Even though we could only have a limited number of residents in activity at any one time this past week, we still painted many pumpkins to decorate our front door for trick or treat. The pictures you see show the resilience and smiles that always come through in our population.
We continued to be in a COVID outbreak, with the A wing having the most problems at this time. As we take care of our residents, it is hard on families and staff. Know that we are following all guidelines with state regulations, and we will continue to keep you informed about our progress.
It was our plan to have trick-or- treating. This article is printing after the fact, but we were going to move the trick or treating it outside to, hopefully, con-tinue our effort to stop COVID infections to everyone. We had many residents excited about the candy treats, and seeing all of the costumes that the children have chosen for Halloween.
We want to thank our staff and families who donated candy for this event. We always look forward to the treat bags that the Brewer and Adams family make for our residents. They never forget them.
Hope to see you soon, as your visits leave smiles that are wonderful to see.
