I know a couple of little Tillatoba girl cousins who started pre-K3 and pre-K4 at North Delta in Batesville Monday morning. Joanna Pullen started pre-K3 and Haven Rose Dukes started pre-K4. They both had big smiles. I don’t know how long that will last, but I hope all day!
Brandon McClanahan visited his dad, Freddie Wayne and Jojo McClanahan, this weekend. Visiting with Bobby Joe McClanahan and other family members were Brandon McClanahan, Joey and Katelyn McClanahan and friend Shelby. They all enjoyed some delicious grilling by Bobby Joe while home.
“Wow! How did Sunday get here so fast?” asked Martha Box. “Here I am wondering what happened to Wednesday as I drive to church on Sunday!”
Martha said she had a long, beautiful ride over to Pine Grove Baptist Church Sunday and had a lot of “thinking and thank you Lord” time as she went. She enjoyed a wonderful visit with family and friends, and what a message by Rev. Barnett. That message after great music, especially, “What a Day!”
Martha spent a little time with daughter Ginger Thursday, having lunch with her at Geezlin Corner. She had great food and a good visit with daughter Candy and all there. “You know I can’t tell you all my exciting news,” said Martha, “but I did get another hug from my special friend Raymond Liberto right there at the Corner Store!”
Peggy Bailey wants her friends to know that she is in the Tallahatchie General Nursing Home in Charleston. If you are over that way, stop and visit. I’ll bet she will have a lot of coon hunting stories.
Deborah McCool said her son-in-law, Jason Beavers, has been doing some more fixing up at her dad’s house. This weekend, he replaced the roof on the front porch and it looks really good. Debbie says now she has to get around to painting the rails and handrails that he replaced a while back. He just can't be still. Tommy got to help a little. He worked all weekend, so Debbie was a little lazy Sunday and sat in the car for church service.
David drove me down to pick up some things that I had purchased from Kristie Hartley. As I walked up the steps and in the door, with Faye’s help, I had a dizzy spell and had to sit a few minutes until I felt better. It was so good to visit with Faye and Kristie. I had not seen them in quite a while.
Sheryn Goode’s daughter, Dana Huffman, son-in-law Lee and grandson, Fischer, drove down from Bartlett, Tennessee. Saturday. They had a good visit. “Now this is the exciting part when I went grocery shopping Sunday,” said Sheryn. “It’s always exciting when you check out.” Sheryn has two different doctor appointments this week.
Daughter Donna Garripoli and grandson Bradley Holliday came Sunday. They brought their own Zaxby’s chicken and when they got here, David had fried chicken legs with mashed potatoes and English peas. Donna cleaned my kitchen good and swept and vacuumed, and Bradley took our garbage to the road to be picked up. Thank you both so much.

Thought for the day: “Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?” (I got a good belly laugh out of this one. I hear it every time I get in the truck with David!)
