Christian love and sympathy to the Martha Ruth McCullar Tatum family of Water Valley. Martha Ruth passed away early Sunday morning. What a precious lady. I know heaven is celebrating her arrival. She will be sorely missed here on earth. Martha Ruth and I graduated together from Oakland High School back in 1959. Rest in peace, sweet girl.
A certain pretty girl was seen sporting a new car driving on the streets of Tillatoba! Kim Beavers, I love your new car and what a sweet husband to gift you with one as an early Christmas gift. I know Hannah and Caitlyn are going to enjoy their momma’s other car.

Martha Box had a great time with her great-grand, Addie, and her sweet friend, Lacy Busby. They kept her busy Friday, all day and night. Saturday morning, all three of them made a super mess cooking breakfast. After taking care of visits about town, Addie took her Christmas shopping again. Super fun, early supper and then she took off and left Granny in a mess. Ha.
Saturday night, Martha went out and ran into fun and friends. She wonders how the nurses she worked with still look so sassy. Between Myra Liberto, Margaret Bailey, Carolyn Deaton Ratliff and ole hot lips EMT Raymond Liberto, they had Martha thinking they were back at work in the ICU and ER at Grenada Lake Medical Center. Martha saw several other work partners and friends. She said it was a great visit as they all showed ole lazy Raymond how to dance.
Martha said if you go to Charleston, go by Chevron for lunch. She told the cooks there she thinks she must have taught them how to cook. It was great Southern eating both visits, she said.
Tommy and Deborah McCool and Tommy’s sister, Alice Kellum, went to Leland and Greenville Sunday and put Christmas wreaths on their family’s gravesite. They also went to their sister’s house and visited a while before coming on back home.
