Love and sympathy to the Ronald Terry Ramage family. Ronald passed away Dec. 28. When Ronald was growing up, they lived up the road from me. Ronald was a sweet young man and loved playing football in school. There were three of the Ramage boys, Ronald, Mike and Steve. Just before they moved, Janet had a little girl and I loved them all as well as their momma and daddy, Janet and Ronald Sr. Rest in peace, Ronald.
Joining us for New Year’s lunch were Donna Garripoli, Miranda and Summer Procella, all of Grenada. Miranda had made a wonderful tasting potato soup with two different kind of sausage in it. Talking about good!
Our visitors last Thursday were son Logan Deck and grandson Mills. Mills brought up his go-cart that Santa had brought him to show us how well he could ride. Of course, I made pictures and videos of him riding.
Tommy and Debbie McCool went to Leland with Tommy’s sister, Alice Kellum, and spent the night and visited with their sisters.
Jessie Williams’ grandson, Cayden Kerr, had knee surgery recently. Prayers for a speedy and healthy recovery.
Cheryl Franklin is in North Mississippi Medical Center at Oxford with heart complications. Monday morning she had a stress test. Please pray for Cheryl.
Martha Box was singing “Sitting at the Dock of the Bay” as she was soaking up the sunshine at Enid planning this new year. I wonder what that girl has on her mind for this new year! If I find out, I’ll let you know. Keep reading the Tillatoba News!
Martha said she had great family time Christmas Eve. She said she worked off those calories cleaning, toting and fetching.
Martha stayed home for New Year’s Eve. It was quiet and nice, so she lay down on the bed to doze. Suddenly, it was as if Tillatoba was being bombed, she said.
“I wish you had seen this fat woman jump off that bed running for the gun. Then I just enjoyed all the neighborhood welcoming 2023!” Martha told me.
Friday evening, Martha’s so grown-up grandson, Jake Harrison, came by and they had a great time talking from heart and mind. Reminds me so much of his grandpa, my Honey, Benny Box.
Ginger Harrison says it’s time to get back to work. It’s been a great Christmas break and they are very blessed. I know Ginger and Phil enjoyed spending time with both boys while Jake was home for school break.
David and I got up early Monday morning and rode to Cleveland to visit with son Derek Deck and grandson Brewer. Brewer had gotten a new electric bike and he had to ride around the street to show us how fast it would go. We enjoyed our visit so much. It had been a while since we had seen them. Jane Clair was working and Katie was at basketball practice, so we missed seeing them.
