My up the road neighbor, Debbie McCool, said she stayed in all weekend with a sinus infection. All stopped up and sneezing, so she stayed in and took medicine to keep it from getting worse. Tommy, her husband, came in last week with it and for the first time in several years she catches it from him. Debbie was feeling better by Monday morning.
Diane Dukes, Sam and Anna Pullen and baby Joanna shopped in Tupelo last Sunday afternoon.
Martha Box and sister, Joyce Stevens, made a girls’ trip to Palestine, Texas, to see their brother, Ronnie, and sister, Pat. They had a great time. They saw Pat and a couple of her grands and a house full of Ronnie’s kids and grands. Joyce said they were treated like we was royal. They had a wonderful time but wished they could have had more time to see all the nieces and nephews of such a large family. They cooked and fed Ronnie, and he really liked that home cooking.
Ronnie took Martha and Joyce out for breakfast to send them off, but not before it took four men to change her wiper blades, said Joyce. She thought that was funny, but I bet they didn’t because it was in the rain! She and Martha made it home safe and sound in spite of the rain keeping them on their toes on the way home!
Ginger Harrison said, “It’s all nice and quiet in my neighborhood. Not much going on. Boys are back into their school routines and rocking along.”
