Deborah McCool said they stayed home and had a lazy weekend. Her brother, Ronnie Bell, has been visiting for over a week and he is heading home to Oklahoma sometime this week. They enjoyed being with him.

While sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful Sunday afternoon, I saw my neighbor, JR Dukes, pull into his drive with that big, pretty boat. I knew he was coming in from a good weekend of fishing.
Shelia Jackson said she hasn’t been going anywhere but to the doctor. I can relate to that. David and I keep the road hot going to the doctors in Oxford every week. This week we will have to make three trips. If I was a rich woman, I’d buy a condo over there!
Martha Box says she is still putting one foot in front of the other and has no real exciting news this week. She said she did land for lunch at the Corner Store in between chores and runs and had a good visit with good people. And the cooks, well, she said she put them in for a raise.
Martha said she and Sis. Joyce must stop hanging out with those catfish and shut-up dogs, as their britches are getting a bit snug.
Keep Bobby Joe McClanahan in your prayers. It is hard on a hardworking, take care of the word man to be tied down. Martha said he tolerates her doing his foot dressing, etc.
Martha reported a “great meeting” at Tillatoba Baptist Church Sunday. She said Bro. Harris spoke a great message encouraging us all to receive and share the Savior always. “So good to share the service with so many neighbors and friends,” noted Martha. She walked down the steps with a longtime friend (since age 14 ), Diane Dukes. “Neither one of us could spring down steps like we used to, but, hey, together we got there.”
Happy birthday to Sarah Grace Paris on the 7th; to my beautiful niece, Angie Beardain, on the 8th; Larry Cockerel on the 9th; Wendy Dempsey on the 11th; and sweet twins, Addison and Abbigail Newsom, who celebrate the 12th. I hope you all have a great day celebrating your special day.
Our visitors Sunday were Jason Beavers, Bubba Dukes, Donna Garripoli, and Summer and Miranda Procella.
Phil and Ginger Box enjoyed having both Jake and Josh home last weekend and are looking forward to having them home for spring break next week. Jake sang at church and did a really good job on his version of Alan Jackson’s Washed in the blood/I’ll Fly Away mix. Josh Harrison and Braden Sprayberry will be performing an acoustic set at 333 in Grenada Friday night, the 8th. Hopefully, it won’t be cancelled due to rain.
William Lewis Cook has been transferred to the Charleston hospital rehab from North Mississippi Medical Center in Oxford after falling a couple of weeks ago. He had two or three broken ribs and a lung that had partly collapsed. Please add William to your prayer list.
Your writer is having a pacemaker put in Thursday! All prayers appreciated.
