Spring gardening, Easter, school awards, baseball, graduation, Mother’s Day — WHEW! We are all so busy these days. But, we should never be too busy to say “Thank you” to those who work hard to help us. CARE is very thankful for those members of the community who continue to support our initiatives during this busy time of year.
If you have ventured past the CARE building recently, you may have noticed that the flowerpots in front are now filled with beautiful flowers. Thank you to Glenna and Mike Callender for not only donating these flowers, but also planting them for us. These flowers were donated in loving memory of Louanne Cossar, Sammie Bell, Debbie Hays Lewis and Cathy Hays Belvedresi.
Earlier in March, our gallery was filled with the colorful artwork of local artist Joe Wrenn. We were even treated to more of Joe’s dance moves during his reception when the music was turned up just a little louder as the group begged him to dance for them. As a result of a very successful show and reception, Joe donated a portion of his sales to support our children’s art class and our summer art camp for children. Thank you to Joe for this donation, which will allow us to again offer art camp this summer free to our local children.
Finally, a very special thank you to Ed and Becky Meek for their donation to our children’s karate program. Their donation allowed us to purchase karate sparring gear, karate mats and punching pads for our children to use. Above and beyond the excitement that these little ninjas have during every lesson, this equipment enables our karate students to train safely.
Thank you again to everyone in the community for your support. See you at CARE in 2022!
