The Charleston Arts and Revitalization Effort (CARE) will host a pre-Veterans Day reception and USS Tallahatchie County memorabilia exhibit this Sunday.
The public is invited to join in celebrating veterans and viewing memorabilia donated to CARE from Navy veterans of the USS Tallahatchie County. Items include photos, letters, presidential commemorative plaques and flags from the mast of the ship.
The reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
The reception is set for Sunday, Nov. 10, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., at the Charleston Arts Center.
The exhibit will be open Monday, Nov. 11, through Thursday, Nov. 14, between noon and 5 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 15, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
