OAKLAND — Well-built, affordable housing is essential to the vitality of communities in rural America.
Oakland will host staff from the USDA’s Rural Development organization to discuss programs available through their offices that will benefit citizens in the area during a workshop at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at the Oakland Area Chamber of Commerce at 304 Holly St. in downtown Oakland.
Rural Development’s Single Family Housing programs give families and individuals the opportunity to buy, build or repair affordable homes.
To learn more about how to apply for housing assistance, join the workshop where Rural Development staff will be on site providing information about the many loan and grant funding opportunities available.
