In another case, a hearing to revoke the bail of Amber Nicole Dogan, 19, of 724 School St., Clarksdale, will be held Aug. 28.
Dogan is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Jan. 21, 2025, shooting death of her uncle, Curtis Cortez Taylor, 44, of 226 Holly St., Charleston.
Dogan posted the $5,000 bail bond and was released on the day of her arrest but has since become a suspect in a June 25, 2025, Yalobusha County crime involving charges of shooting into a dwelling house and drive-by shooting, court records show.
In light of the more recent charges, and allegations that Dogan has skirted the law on other occasions, the state argued that her bond be revoked.
Murphey will preside over the bond revocation hearing.
