The St. John Missionary Baptist Church Daughters of Destiny Women’s Fellowship hosted a community health and wellness fair on Saturday, Sept. 13, in the church fellowship hall in Charleston.
Dr. Arletha Brock-Coffee and a team of student nurses from Holmes Community College provided blood pressure checks and health care advice.
Mrs. Jeanette Ringo from Medicare shared tips on preventing Medicare fraud.
Each participant received a case of water, courtesy of Mrs. Pamela Pope’s outreach ministry of Batesville and the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
The event drew 80 participants and was a valuable resource for the community.
