Today (Nov. 26) is Election Day for one East Tallahatchie School District race that requires a runoff.
Incumbent Education District 9 school board member Darrell Neal, 57, will face off against challenger Robin L. Hodges, 32.
Polls at precincts within Education District 9 will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The winner will be sworn in during January to begin a five-year term on the East Tallahatchie School District Board of Trustees.
On Nov. 5, Hodges tallied 213 votes, Neal 192 and Verry “Vera” Gary 176.
The top two vote-getters advanced to the runoff, which is the only one on tap locally.
