In September, our residents have been enjoying community bingo with the First Baptist Church of Charleston. These sweet volunteers not only give up their free time to spend with them, but they bring amazing prizes for our residents.
Our Extended Care Facility residents were gifted wooden bird feeders along with wall art. The residents loved these unique prizes to their bingo games!
Another fun thing that happened in September was our A Wing prom! Our A Wing residents had a prom put on by their very own nursing and CNA staff. The hair, makeup and donated dresses were all done out of pure love to make this such a special memory for not only our residents but their loved ones who were able to come and enjoy it with them.
No prom could be complete without the crowning of a king and queen. Our A Wing king was Clarence Pittman, and our queen was Peggy Bordelon.
Again, TGH would not be what it is without our amazing and over the top staff, and our amazing community who takes the time to spend with these wonderful people.
On another note, while we usually participate in the nighttime community trick-or-treating, but this year we will not. Instead, we will invite local preschools and daycare children to trick-or-treat with us during the day, which will give the residents more time to interact with the children. Thank you all for your understanding.
Come see us when you can.
