Last week was a week of fun, creativity, laughter and sharing time together as friends.
Last Monday, our room was filled with real card players as we tried to see how many could bingo on card bingo. Sad to say, in one way, but Table 2 (mostly men) put a licking on the girls.
Tuesday, we enjoyed game day and we had tables filled with players. Monopoly, dominoes, Connect Four and Sorry were going strong with lots of competitive chatter between players.
On Wednesday, we cooled down with cold bites of watermelon that were really enjoyable on a hot day.
As always, Bingo Thursday was loaded with people, and we came out one-sided again with the men leading the total.
Our week was interactive, challenging and had an atmosphere of comradery.
We want to thank Mr. Harbin for leading our Sunday school for July, and Reverend Paul Long and the First Presbyterian Church for the afternoon worship service. Even though I was not there to hear it, I heard everyone enjoyed Mac Venable’s songs on the 16th of July when he stood in for Brother Long. It had been a while. Thanks, Mac!
As we finish the month of July, we are already planning for August. We finally have a full team as we welcome Kim Bouchillon, Denise Mackey and Jamie Dimaio. We hope to successfully launch a complete program on both Wing B and Wing A.
Many people have reached out to us lately, and Wing B is completely full. With those new residents we find new talent, new ideas, new interests and personalities that reach out and touch other residents. It is always an adventure getting to develop new relationships.
