Free child car safety seats will be available Friday, Dec. 18, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the former National Guard armory, 409 S. Cossar Ave., in Charleston.
One parent/caregiver and the child being fitted for the car seat must be present at the event. Car seats will not be given away unless the child it is intended for is present.
A face mask must be worn by the parent/caregiver, and the child when age-appropriate.
The seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
The event is sponsored by the Mississippi State Department of Health, Safe Kids Worldwide and the Diaper Bank of the Delta.
