With a 7-1 record, Lester Brooks of Charleston won a tiebreaker showdown to claim the first-ever $35 cash prize during Week 1 of The Sun-Sentinel’s 2026 Football Fever Contest. (Previously, the weekly award had been $30.)
He joined a huge contingent of players also finishing 7-1.
