October starts a new food pantry year at Calvary and Faith Food pantries, and new applications are required.
A new application must be filled out every year for food pantries.
We cannot possibly process all applications on the day of food pantry, and you will need to apply in advance to receive food on Oct. 19. If you wait until then, your food box will not be available.
Applications are available at several locations, and you may apply for Faith Food Pantry, Calvary Food Pantry or Glendora Food Pantry at any location.
You may drop by Faith Baptist Church Food Pantry’s booth at the Gateway to the Delta Festival in Charleston on Saturday, Oct. 12, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to fill out a new application. If it’s raining that day, we will be at Faith Baptist Church during those hours to fill out applications.
If you cannot come to the Gateway festival, the churches will be open to take applications on Tuesdays, Oct. 8 and Oct. 15, at Faith, and Wednesdays, Oct. 9 and Oct. 16.
If you cannot make it to those places, applications are available in Sumner and Charleston at the Tallahatchie County jails every day and night. We will pick them up at the jails until Oct. 17 to be ready for you.
On Oct. 19, you can register to receive food, but it will not be available until after any 9:30 a.m. Sunday service at Calvary, or after any 2:30 p.m. Sunday service at Faith. It also can be picked up at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays at Faith or Wednesdays at Calvary.
Help us serve you.
