Calvary Chapel celebrates 36 years as church, 41 years of ministry

In 1985, a ministry was begun for the staff of Parchman’s Mississippi Department of Corrections, and on June 3, 1990, that ministry took a name and built a home of its own known as Calvary Chapel of Parchman. This Sunday, June 7, the church will celebrate its anniversary with a special service.

Patrons missing food pantry distribution have one alternative: church

Every month, there are 15-20 people who miss food pantry distribution day on the next-to-last Saturday in the month, at each of the Charleston and Parchman facilities.
They often call and want food pantry volunteers to make special arrangements for them. For the protection of volunteers, such arrangements cannot be made.
