Collin Cuykendall of Charleston posted an 8-0 record to capture the $30 cash prize during Week 1 of The Sun-Sentinel’s 2024 Football Fever Contest.
Cuykendall was the only player with an unblemished entry form.
Nine contestants posted up at 7-1, including Thomas Lewis, Robert Morrow, Kenny Drane, Ray Plez, Reed Madden, Sue Jennings, Valerie Buckley, James Lake and Harvey Smith.
Standing at 6-2 were Kathy Estes, Gyrone Kenniel, Jennifer Wigley, Omar McKaskill, Corbett Weathersby, Eric Bradley, Victor Bailey, Brenda Rushing, Henry Collier, Joshua Sanders, Andrew Tenner, Willie Wilkins and Roberta Redd,
Landing at 5-3 were Barb Green, Willie Bradford Jr., Joseph Lindley, Angela Bailey Rowsey, Trey Ahrens, Beverly Drane, Mike Sturdivant III, Sykes Sturdivant, Melissa Hite, Marila Wall, Neal Creasy, Gary Dyksterhouse, Walker Sturdivant, Patrick Taylor, Bobby Reed, Rick Thomas, LaDerrick Hodges and Denman Fly.
Breaking even at 4-4 — and consequently posting the “Worst Picks of the Week” — were Timothy Buckley, Shay Ely, Crump Britt, Glenda Hodges, Benny Cole and Jimmie Johnson.
