The municipal clerk's office at Charleston City Hall will be open from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 1, for in-person voter registration for the April 1 municipal primary election, according to the Mississippi secretary of state's office.
Applicants who register in-person in the municipal clerk's office or circuit clerk's office, as well as those who mail registration applications postmarked no later than Monday, March 3, are eligible to vote in the municipal primary election on April 1.

The city of Charleston is the only municipality in Tallahatchie County that is scheduled to conduct a primary election next month. In Sumner, the incumbents qualified as Republicans and all seats are unchallenged. In Glendora, Tutwiler and Webb, all candidates qualified as independents.
The general election is set for June 3.
