Charleston High School seniors will receive diplomas or certificates during graduation ceremonies scheduled for Friday night at 7 in the Morgan Freeman Auditorium on campus.
After a welcome by Principal Mark Beechem, Tim King or David Baker will present processional music as cap-and-gown-clad seniors file into the auditorium.
Senior Larufus Collins will offer the invocation, after which senior Jacoby McCaskill will lead the crowd in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Seniors A’Nyjah Nash and Kristen Manning will introduce members of the East Tallahatchie School District Board of Trustees.
Emily Hargett, the daughter of Amy and Stacy Hargett of Charleston, will deliver the salutatory address.
Katherine Celeste Bachler, the daughter of Jody and James Wine and Jonathan Bachler, all of Charleston, will deliver the valedictory address.
Beechem will make the presentation of seniors, and East Tallahatchie School Superintendent Dr. Darron Edwards will issue diplomas.
The benediction will be offered by class president Shymara Simmons.
Charleston High School honor graduates other than Bachler, Collins, Hargett, Manning, McCaskill and Nash are Jaynasia Bennett, Kadeshia Bland, Jalisa Brown, Brennan Coates, Kendall Coker, Gabrielle Crocker, Aaliyah Curtis, Fanisha Davis, Kayla Griffin, Jalen Jones, Keunte Pittman, Tyeimus Pittman, Austin Quillman, Moniece Shannon, Mason Smallwood, Alexis Tenner and Mea Tribble.
The flowers of the CHS graduating class are yellow and white roses. Class colors are white and gold.
