The Charleston City Hall courtroom will be the setting for a public meeting Tuesday, March 29, at 6 p.m., to discuss the city’s planned application for federal housing assistance funds.
Mayor Sedrick Smith said residents are encouraged to attend the gathering, during which officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development agency will be on hand to discuss subsidized housing for low-income residents of the city.
Smith said funds for both single-family and multi-family structures are being sought.
“Hopefully, an application will be presented,” he added.
