Kate Eliot is a powerful burst of pure energy in a petite package focused and on track like a train engine. Look fast because she will be raising her hands when done and it’s done in a flash.
She is the daughter of Sean and Kristen Stubbs of Sumner and a second-grader at Pillow Academy in Greenwood. She has a big brother, Ethan, and her grandparents are Sharon and Andy Reynolds of Clarksdale.
We’ve had the joy of watching Kate from the beginning of her gymnastics journey, watching the reels on social media repeatedly. Now she will be representing the state in Atlanta in May.
Her mama says it best with all the event data when she made the following Facebook post:
“Kate Eliot has been talking about making it to Regionals for weeks. Today, her dream came true! She was selected for the MS state team, which consists of only 8 girls out of over 90 Excel Gold gymnasts!!! She also placed 2nd overall, 1st on floor, and 2nd on beam! The Fusion Training Center Xcel Gold team also came in 4th at the State Championship! We are so proud of her! We can’t wait to watch her represent MS Gymnastics in Atlanta on May 2nd!”
