The U.S. Geological Survey tonight confirmed that a magnitude 3.2 earthquake hit in Madison County, Mississippi.
The quake, which was recorded at three miles deep, was centered northwest of Gluckstadt — about three miles southwest of Canton.
Jim Prince, publisher of The Madison Journal, cites official sources as saying no injuries or damages have been reported.
The quake hit at about 7:39 p.m., and strong aftershocks continued to be reported in that area as of 8:15 p.m.
