Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, a candidate for lieutenant governor, was asked during a Sept. 12 debate about his stance on health care insurance expansion.
His response included a few remarks lauding Tallahatchie General Hospital and the James C. Kennedy Wellness Center in Charleston.
“You need to remember, wellness begins when you wake up, not when you’re sick. And so you will see us emphasizing wellness at local hospitals, like they do in Tallahatchie County in Charleston, Mississippi, which is a great example of how you combine the two — an emergency room [with] primary care and wellness center.”
